Scraping
Scraping Therapy, a meridian balance technique, gently grazes the skin with a smooth-edged tool to release blocked energy and toxins. This promotes their expulsion from the body, often resulting in bruising similar to cupping treatment. The color and type of bruising vary, offering insights into specific health imbalances.
How Does It Work?
Firstly, the skin is prepared by cleaning it, and a lubricating medium like water, herbal ointment, or massage oil is applied to minimize friction. The scraping tool is then gently applied to the targeted area for a specific duration. Following the scraping therapy session, pressure is avoided on the treated area for a period, refraining from techniques such as massage, cupping, or acupuncture. This allows the body to respond and adjust to the therapy.
